VBA: flower container
For more than 25 years, the container used at VBA Flower Auction in Aalsmeer has set the global industry standard.
The first step in creating this product, millions of which have since been produced, was the winning concept in a round of pitches initiated by VBA. An intensive development process then followed, involving not only the auction but also other users such as growers. That resulted in an environmentally friendly, economical and reusable container which is manufactured in three sizes and is used by flower auctions around the world as a standard unit.
The perfected final design is practical, stackable in large volumes, light in weight, stable, durable, easy to clean and suitable for both wet and dry produce. In other words, it satisfies every requirement imposed by the auction, the growers and the flower trade.
