iF Product Design Award 2012 for HERAS iGATE
For 58 years, the iF product design award has been an internationally recognized label for award-winning design and the iF brand has become a symbol for outstanding achievements in design. Today, iF is represented in Hannover and Munich (Germany), Taiwan, Korea and Brazil.
Out of 2,923 entries HERAS iGATE has won an iF product design award 2012 and will be recognized with the renowned iF label. Our product HERAS iGATE was entered in the category 14. industry + skilled trades.
EVALUATION CRITERIA
The jury considered criteria such as design quality, finish, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of intended use, safety, brand value and branding and aspects of universal design.
AWARDS CEREMONY
For the first time, the awards ceremony – the iF design awards night – is to take place during Munich Creative Business Week, on 10 February 2012. The iF gold awards for outstanding design skills will be announced at the awards ceremony where the gold award winners will receive their iF gold trophy, designed by Herbert H. Schultes.
EXHIBITION
All award-winning entries from the four iF design awards 2012 will be presented – either live or as multi-media installations – at the iF design exhibition Hannover, which will run in parallel to CeBIT (06 – 10 March 2012) at the Hannover exhibition center. Additionally, for the first time, all entries will also be shown at the iF design exhibition Hamburg: right in the center of the new HarborCity, Hamburg offers a superb meeting point for the
media and design industries and for everyone interested in design and architecture. And finally, the iF award winning entries will also travel to China to be presented at the iF design exhibition Hainan, one of the most attractive locations in China, both in terms of tourism and business.
